It's hard work and almost always thankless... But if we don't do it, who will?

BtBWI has joined forces with three other groups around the country in filing four different complaints to the Office of Research Integrity over the Surgeon General's 20056 report. You can read our letter here. FDL is having a hearing on the ban on 10/8 and voting on 10/22. Make sure this doesn't happen. Check out the "insider information" we have uncovered. It'll turn you green! Check out the "Hot Spots" page to see which areas are currently under fire. We're putting together a big event in St. Croix Falls over labor day weekend. It stands to be a real noisy time and we're going to make our message clear. STAY OUT OF OUR BUSINESS! Official news will go out as soon as we get it pinned down, but this stands to be a big deal. |
| How you can help. Write letters! Write letters to your local government officials and tell them not to support smoking bans. Here is an example of a form letter for the City of Kenosha and another for LaCrosse County.
Circulate the Petition! Want to help stop the Wisconsin smoking ban in your own city, town, or bar? Click here for a downloadable PDF that you may print out and use. When it’s full or when you’ve collected all of the signatures you can, please mail the petition to:
Ban the Ban Wisconsin PO Box 253 Clayton, WI 54004 Or, you can scan the document and email it to: pheisty@pheistyblog.com (We don’t have a fax machine quite yet, but we will soon.)

Donate to the Cause! So far we have been doing this as a labor of love and funding the campaign out of our own pockets. Any support from the community will help us help you, so please consider even a small amount to put towards printing and advertising. Your donation is safe and secure through PayPal (no account is needed) and since we’re a Wisconsin nonprofit you know your donation is going to a good cause. We take no salary or personal compensation from this and 100% goes into the campaign.
Study up! Check out this fact sheet put together by the Ohio Smoker's Rights Group. It's a good basic primer on the issues
